Red Carnation Ball
Each April, the men of Nu Xi Chapter, as well as most Chapters of TKE nationwide, conduct the annual Red Carnation Ball, so named after the fraternity’s official flower. The setup for this event varies from chapter to chapter but all our held in order to celebrate and honor the ideals and values of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
his weekend is typically in conjuntion with our annual Siggens-Turrell-Gallegos Memorial Golf Tournament, which is held Saturday morning. Saturday Night is when the formal activities take place; a formal banquet and awards cermony closed out with a formal dance. This, by far, is the biggest social event this chapter sponsors and is enjoyed after graduation as alumni venture back to join in with the active brother’s of the chapter. This is perhaps the most frequented events by alumni.
At RCB, awards are also given for Top Teke, Officer of the Year, Althlete of the Year, Most Improved, Best GPA. We also announce the new Chapter Sweetheart for the following year.
This last RCB was in conjuntion with our Chapter's 40th anniversary, and boasted an attendence in excess of 200 TKE's including our founder, Dave Hyink, and several of our inagural officer core from the Chapter's installation.
