Nu Xi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon

We had a very successful Homecoming this year with Chi Omega, one of the top Sororities here at SFA. The theme this year was 'I Love the80's'.  We entered a float into the parade this year again. On the float we had our own band, 'Axes and Roses', and the members consisted of Jason Vanderbrink on vocals, Peyton Sykes and Aaron Piscopo on guitars, Chris Rodriguez on bass, Chris Dunklin on keyboards, and Parker Riley on drums.  All are members of TKE. 

We want to give a special thanks to Terri Wyman, our sweetheart and the Chi-O Homecoming Chair.  She worked so incredibly hard on the float and did a wonderful job!  THANKS TERRI!

This year we also had a Homecoming court.  Freshman Duke Preston Thormer, Sophomore Duke Luis Acosta, Junior Duke Ryan Johnson, and King Duane Mancill. We also had our letters representing us proudly on the SFA football field where we hosted Texas State for the homecoming game.

We would also like to give a thanks to all of the Alumni that came out and supported us for the homecoming weekend we greatly appreciate it.

During this busy week, the Fraternity also participated in the Student Activities Association Alcohol Awareness Week.

Nu-Xi would like to extend a big congratulations to Trey Turner and Craig Turnage for being named as Major Gift Officers in SFA's Office of Development. They will be responsible for acquiring major contributions from individuals and organizations for SFA. Trey is a former Prytanis and Chapter adviser. Craig is also a former Histor.
